WORKSHOP SERIES: Is Senior Cohousing for YOU?
Cohousing for Boomers & Beyond! is a FUN and informative series of 10 workshops* that explore the many issues as well as exciting challenges facing seniors. The workshops are designed to help individuals decide if cohousing is an option for them.
Based on the works of leading authorities in the field such as:
- Charles Durrett, author of Senior Cohousing
- Bill Thomas, author of What Are Old People For?
- Drew Leder, author of Spiritual Passages, and
- Dene Peterson of ElderSpirit Cohousing Community in Virginia
The discussions and experiences in these workshops have led many to realize that the path to a joyous, purposeful future lies in living in a mutually supportive community.
This workshop series is offered through Mid Atlantic Cohousing (MAC), a non-profit regional resource on cohousing and is led by a certified facilitator – our very own, Ann Zabaldo.
Topics covered by the workshops include:
- Aging in Place or Aging in Community: Let’s do both!
- Alternative Living Arrangements: What’s out there?
- Co-healing and the role of community: Staying healthy
