ANN ZABALDO specializes in marketing, outreach, lighting and fueling the fires of burning souls. She can help you save time and money through collaborative organization and execution of your marketing and outreach plan. Ann is one of only 23 people certified by McCamant & Durrett to lead Senior Cohousing Study Group I workshops.

Ann is both a pioneer volunteer and a paid professional in the cohousing movement since 1991. She was a consultant for Eco Housing Corporation on two award-winning communities: Takoma Village Cohousing in Washington, DC and Eastern Village Cohousing in Silver Spring, MD. She was also a finance partner for Liberty Village Cohousing near Frederick, MD.

Ann is past-president of The Cohousing Association of the United States (CohoUS) and is a current board member of Mid Atlantic Cohousing, a regional organization that she helped found.

Jack

JACK WILBERN, RA, brings design, facilitation, development and community life skills to the collaborative effort. Jack is the architect/planner for Blueberry Hill cohousing community in Vienna, VA (completed in 2000). He is also a principal partner of the architectural firm, Butz • Wilbern, with extensive experience in project development and management.

Jack is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo (where he and Chuck Durrett, author of "Cohousing: A Contemporary Approach to Housing Ourselves", were classmates). He is a member of ULI-The Urban Land Institute, holds an NCARB national certification and is currently licensed as an architect in 12 states.

 
     
 

MEDA LING is a professional site architect who provides the collaborative with innovative problem-solving and project management skills honed from more than 27 years of diverse international project experience including numerous award-winning planned residential communities, urban revitalization, resort, institutional, commercial, recreational parks, arboreta, ecologic sanctuary and mitigation projects. Areas of expertise include site acquisition, RE investment, land development, and state-of-the-art environmentally sustainable site planning and design.

Meda is a graduate of University of Virginia. She was the lead researcher and writer for numerous articles and publications, including Golf Course Development & Real Estate (for Guy L. Rando & Desmond Muirhead, ULI - The Urban Land Institute, 1994).

Sam

SAM BUTZ grapples with all the design, project management, and construction aspects of development projects. He provides a strong sense of practicality to the team. It is his mix of expertise, practicality, and solid honesty that so many clients have come to value in working with him. Sam is also a principal partner of the architectural firm, Butz • Wilbern.

Sam is a graduate of Virginina Polytechnic Institute and has been working every day (and many nights) since, towards the best answer, the best solution, and the fairest compromise on every project.
